Logan was enrolled almost immediately after he was born. Danae and Stuart would have enrolled him anyway but may have waited a little longer without the impetus of receiving the Books for Babies pack, which made the whole process easier. Putting the book beside Logan's change pad encouraged him to focus on the simple shape illustrations. Logan now has a special place for his own books. ‘Watching [children] learn is exciting as a parent,' says Danae.

Jessica was enrolled at the library only a few weeks after she was born. Melanie says that she would have waited longer if she hadn't received the Books for Babies pack. ‘Because books are not cheap, the library offers an inexpensive way for children to experience many different titles. It also provides music tapes and videos in addition to books. Favourites can be borrowed time and time again,' says Melanie.
