Benjamin

Benjamin's enrolment form was returned to the library when he was just three days old. Although Barbara would have enrolled him anyway, she didn't realise that he could become a library member so early and have access to so many books! Barbara has always been a regular library customer, visiting once a week, but she was unaware of the large number of board books the library had. She recalls that Benjamin ‘really reacted to the black and white. He would lie there and laugh! Get to the library,' says Barbara. ‘It's really important, especially if you can't buy books all the time. It's so important for kids. It's also important for parents to read to their children.'

Seth

Seth was enrolled as a member of the library a few weeks after receiving the Books for Babies pack. For Leanne, the pack ‘opened a door I didn't think was there. It wouldn't have occurred to me to join Seth at this early age.' Leanne and Seth discovered a wealth of board books at the library. ‘The younger you introduce them to the library, the more it becomes part of your life,' says Leanne.
